It may be 100 years in the US but other countries have been celebrating their moms for centuries. In the UK it has been celebrated since the 17th century and falls on a different day - the 4th Sunday of Lent.
Wow, I didn’t know that mother’s day is 100 years old. I thought it was a newer holiday. All of those statistics are really interesting. I didn’t know that there were that many single mothers.
